Looks like the hot weather has been killing the bite. They stocked enormous Tailwalkers on Wednesday (March 30) so I was hoping for an incredible trip the day after. I think they need another day or two to settle in so this upcoming weekend should be great. Fish were jumping everywhere all throughout the day and there were multiple 10+ lb trout found dead all along the bank. One person managed to land a 9lber and a few other 2-3lb trout were caught but that was about it. I only stayed until 11pm and had to head back to NorCal to beat traffic. Oh well! We’ll try again next time.

Water temperatures are still low despite the hot weather that is rolling through. Multiple 10+ pound Rainbows are being caught every week. This past week a 19+ was the top fish and some over 16 were also caught. Water clarity is getting better by the day now and the water level is up. Powerbait with a 10-16 inch leader working best. Also Powerbait Mice Tails are working. Mini jigs and small trout worms in white seem to be a hot color as well.
